It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

The distance symbol is used to cross any distance in time or space. It allows Reiki Masters to clear blockages from someone's past, as well as perform reiki on someone who is not physically present. Distance Reiki works according to an ancient principle that we are all connected, as we are all made of energy. Distance Reiki session allows the practitioner to link up to the energy field of the recipient.

How does the session work ?

Reiki energy flows from the practitioners hands into the client. The client is usually laying on a massage table and remains fully clothed. The practitioner places her hands on or near the clients body in a series of hand positions. These include positions around the head and shoulders, the stomach, and feet. Other, more specific positions may be used based on the clients needs. The whole treatment usually lasts 45 minutes.

What can I expect during a reiki session ?

The goal of the session is relaxation, so there likely won’t be much talking. Relaxing music will be playing in the background. It’s important that you tell the practitioner if you need any adjustments at any point during the session. Your comfort is the most important thing, so if you’re uncomfortable for any reason, like if you’re too hot or cold, or the position you’re lying in is uncomfortable, I ask you to let me know.
As I work around the body, you may feel a warm, pulsing energy coming from your hand,head or feet. All these sensations are very comforting, and they don’t mean anything other than that the Reiki [energy] is really flowing.Some people fall asleep; others enter a deep meditative state. For this reason, practitioners will gently awaken people once the session is over.
If possible, go home and relax after your Reiki session. If you can’t go straight home, try to avoid stressful errands or tasks — or build in a nonstressful buffer activity before returning to your typical routine. For example, if you have to go back to work, stop and have lunch on your way.
